On January 23, 2024, the UFZ team participated in the 3rd Flood Conference organized by the Demonstrationszentrum Dezentrale Infrastruktur (BDZ). This important event gathered experts from science and administration to discuss hydrological and climatic developments in Saxony, with a focus on effective flood management strategies.

The conference provided valuable insights into current challenges in flood management and presented innovative instruments and strategies to address them. Representatives from Saxon municipalities and insurance companies engaged in stimulating discussions about the state-of-the-art approaches to flood resilience.

This event was an excellent opportunity to expand our understanding of climate adaptation efforts in Saxony. Through collaborative dialogues, we explored various strategies and gained insights into the latest developments in flood management.
